Mark's Marathon Swim

"Why run a marathon when you can swim it instead..??" This was a thought that came to mind during a quiet moment searching for a sporting challenge for 2009. The official run distance of a marathon is 26 miles 385 yards, or for the metric thinkers amongst us it is 42.195 km. If i'm going to achieve this challenge it will mean swimming a total of 1399 lengths. The purpose of this blog is to record the months leading up to the event and to let you know why i'm doing it.

About Me

My photo
Mark T
Life can pass you by with you being it's spectator. I'd rather take all that my life has to offer and not let the opportunities pass without taking full advantage of them. Who knows how long I will have my health and all that I have? I don't think that many of us do. I believe in pushing the boundaries and never accepting when others say 'you can't do that'. The only way I will accept that is if I have proved it to myself... but I'm more interested in proving what I am capable of, and so my journey begins..
